Memorial Day for Dogs Too

War Dog Memorial

Did you know that thousands of dogs have served our nation's military, and have died in action?

Looking for information on animals serving in the War in Iraq currently? Follow this link.

Over 2000 dogs died in World War I. At the end of the Vietnam War, our military left most of the American war dogs there. Approximately 2800 of the 3000 who served.

Most of the dogs have been Labrador Retrievers, and German Shepherd Dogs, like me and my first sister.

So remember the dogs, and perhaps you may enjoy these other sites we've found.
